History of College

In the Buddhist era of 2548, it marked a new milestone in the journey towards the goal set by Dr. Narong Mongkolvanit. Siam Technology College established the "Siam Technology College" project to continue the vision of Dr. Narong Mongkolvanit and meet the society's demand for producing high-quality and highly qualified personnel. The college provides an education that combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, focusing on assessing performance based on real-world work in the current technological and rapidly developing environment. The "Siam Technology College" commenced its operations in the academic year 2549 on an area of 8 rai 3 ngan 67 square wah, adjacent to the "Siam Technology School," with the two institutions having proportionally divided spaces. In the first academic year of the "Siam Technology College," the emphasis was placed on continuous education for graduates of Siam Technology School, offering undergraduate programs in technology and business administration that support all the courses taught at Siam Technology School. Later, additional disciplines were added based on the needs of the Thai business and industrial sectors. The college aims to provide education that is continuous and equitable, regardless of the educational institution or level from which students come.

It is a private institution of higher education affiliated with the Office of the Higher Education Commission. It has a vision to provide education for producing graduates with advanced professional knowledge and skills at the undergraduate and graduate levels in various fields, encompassing both theoretical and practical aspects. The institution aims to equip students with academic and professional skills that keep pace with rapidly changing technologies. The desired qualifications align with the labor market's needs and are vital for the country's economic and social development, particularly in the industrialization era. The institution seeks to cultivate individuals with high-level professional skills and knowledge.

Driven by the ambition to become an industrialized nation, Thailand faces a shortage of qualified personnel with knowledge and skills necessary to propel our country towards the desired path. Professor Dr. Narong Mongkhonvanit serves as an exemplary figure who is dedicated to meeting the society's needs by recognizing the scarcity of skilled and competent workforce in the industrial sector. Consequently, he established the first private vocational institution in Thailand, known as "Siam Industrial Technicians School," in the Buddhist Era of 2508 (1965). This institution aimed to provide knowledge and expertise in industrial trades. It exemplifies a far-reaching vision and unwavering commitment to progress over the past decades. Over time, the "Siam Industrial Technicians School" transformed into the "Siam Institute of Technology," incorporating the field of commerce and firmly establishing itself as a leading vocational institution of the country. From its inception to the present day, this institution has consistently maintained its position as a pioneer among high-quality vocational schools. The progress and dedication of this institution signify its commitment to creating benefits for society and Thai youth as leaders, not mere followers.
